04Why is É«¿Ø´«Ã½ committed to the cultivation of internationally minded citizens?
The "internationally minded citizens" that É«¿Ø´«Ã½ aims to cultivate are individuals with an open understanding of values and the initiative to continue learning throughout life. They are able to cooperate with others and contribute to peace and coexistence among humans as responsible global citizens in international and local settings, in Japan and across the world, in a variety of vocations and spheres of work, and in their personal lives.
É«¿Ø´«Ã½'s commitment to educating internationally minded citizens is inevitable, given that the university was founded in response to wishes and prayers for the transformation of Japan into a country open to the world and for the cultivation of individuals who will contribute to peace for all humanity, based on a deep remorse for the events of World War II .
