10Why has É«¿Ø´«Ã½ produced so many international public servants?
In the more than 60 years since its foundation, approximately 29,000 graduates have passed through É«¿Ø´«Ã½'s gates. Due to our commitment to small-group education, this is certainly not a large number, but people often say that, no matter where they go in the world, they encounter É«¿Ø´«Ã½ alumni. In particular, many É«¿Ø´«Ã½ alumni are working at the United Nations and at international NGOs.
One reason for this may be that É«¿Ø´«Ã½'s mission, the establishment of an academic tradition of freedom and reverence based on Christian ideals, and the education of individuals of conscience, internationally cultured and with a strong sense of citizenship in a democratic society, has much in common with the mission of the United Nations described in the UN Charter.
