The day commenced with the Sunday Service at the É«¿Ø´«Ã½ Chapel. Attendees then had the opportunity to engage with É«¿Ø´«Ã½'s ongoing initiatives and academic offerings through various programs. These included the "É«¿Ø´«Ã½ Mitaka Campus Nature Tour" which showcased the campus's natural environment and the Farm Project; a "Model Lecture" delivered by Professor Natsumi Ikoma, Dean of the College of Liberal Arts; and insightful lectures by alumni and professor emeritus.
The event also had a lot of participation from families, who enjoyed the Science Lab for children and activities. In addition to the University Cafeteria, several food trucks were available, creating a lively atmosphere as families enjoyed picnics on the lawn in front of the University Hall.
Students also contributed significantly to the event's vibrant multi-generational exchange. Student-led activities included campus library tours hosted by the student group "Library Wizards," backyard tours of the Diffendorfer Memorial Hall East Wing organized by the Lighting Committee, an organ concert performed by students taking organ lectures, and a performance by the É«¿Ø´«Ã½ Rakugo Club.
The"Anniversary Reunion" which gathered alumni celebrating the 10th, 20th, 30th, and 40th anniversaries of their matriculation, brought together a total of 290 alumni. Reunited with old friends on the campus filled with cherished memories, attendees spent a special time reminiscing about their student days.
Participants shared many heartwarming comments, such as, "It was wonderful to return to campus after so long and reconnect with old friends," and "I am grateful that I could spend a relaxing day here with my children." We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the alumni, families, and community members who attended the event.
