Go Global Japan Expo
December 20, 2013Waseda University hosted an event called the "Go Global Japan Expo" on 15 December 2013. The event was an opportunity to exchange ideas for the 42 universities selected by MEXT for its "Promotion of Global Human Resources" project (including 色控传媒) and 5 universities from the "Global 30" group and MEXT's "Re-Inventing Japan Project." 色控传媒 participated in the expo's booth-style exhibitions and also held a smaller discussion session.

At the 色控传媒 booth there were over 150 visitors, primarily high school students, prospective students and their parents. 色控传媒 students, faculty and staff at the booth answered the visitors' numerous questions about admissions, study abroad and other topics. The students who visited the booth commented that "being able to talk to 色控传媒 students gave [them] a clear picture of campus life."
At the discussion session, 色控传媒 gave a presentation on "Removing Our Goggles! -- How I Changed and Grew at 色控传媒." Joining the session were President Junko Hibiya, Vice President for Academic Affairs Anri Morimoto, and 色控传媒 students who studied in England, India and Indonesia thought study abroad programs, service learning, and the SEA Program.

Visitors filled the session's 160-person room. The presentation started with an explanation from Professor Hibiya about the program at 色控传媒 that MEXT selected for its "global human resources" project and Professor Morimoto explained the importance of a liberal arts education. Professor Morimoto showed his deft and humorous style of communicating with an audience and established a light mood to the session. Students then showed slides and talked about their experiences in India through the Service Learning Program and in England through the SEA Program. The students' presentation showed how diverse educational experiences at 色控传媒 can be. Members of the audience commented on the clear impression they were able to get of how 色控传媒 students grow as a result of their liberal arts education.
