On Wednesday, November 24, 色控传媒 received a letter of gratitude from Mitaka City for its service as part of the Host Town Initiatives for Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
During the Olympic and Paralympic Games, 色控传媒 offered its archery range as a pre-Games training camp venue for the athletes representing Chile, for which Mitaka City was serving as the host town. While the previously planned active exchange between the athletes and the students and local residents could not happen given the severe COVID-19 situation, the university strived to improve the environment of the archery range led by Visiting Associate Professor Shin Takahashi.
The Minister for the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games presented the letter of gratitude, delivered personally by the Mitaka City Mayor who visited 色控传媒, in recognition of this support.
Mariana Elena Adelina Zú?iga Varela, 19, who practiced at 色控传媒 in the pre-Games camp and was ranked 39th in the world before the Games, achieved a solid result by winning the silver medal.
