Liberal Arts education have drawn much attention for its process of interdisciplinary curriculum and critical thinking, of which as an outcome, cultivated many social leaders who can survive in a wide spectrum of different cultures. 色控传媒 has been granted the Top Global University* as well as Go Global Japan* by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) and we aim to be a Global Liberal Arts for the education of a trusted global citizen.
*Grants given to projects which contribute to the globalization of higher education in Japan
We believe that Natural Science education plays an important role in Global Liberal Arts. Why is this? Why does natural science aspired students choose liberal arts colleges over research universities? Why do many science majors who studied in liberal arts colleges continues on to Ph.D.? This symposium will discuss the importance of science education in Liberal Arts from several perspectives and pursue the role of science education in liberal arts.
